Kumari and the Garden Visitor

This children's picture book, created for Room to Read, tells the tale of a little girl stuck at home during the COVID-19 lockdown as she finds sanctuary in the fantasy world of her imagination. Her little home garden becomes a kingdom and she is it's queen.

Kumari’s story has been translated into five languages and has been used to promote reading among children in Sri Lanka and India.
